If you were not aware of the affiliate system at Host Solutions, that is okay because I am going to talk about it.

Previously, the system was set for 10% commission for each new account signed up with Host Solutions. This has changed… for the good. Our smallest hosting package is $30/year, so $3 is not a lot.

This has been changed to 20%!!! Even though it means $6 instead of $3, it is still a good piece a change and makes reaching payout easier.

Please note that Host Solutions dedicated servers are under HostGator, meaning the service is excellent and questions are answered in a timely manner. I have been doing this for a long time so I handle the support personally. Some of the longtime clients have been around since Host Solutions’s beginning and have left excellent feedback. It is often hard to start a small web hosting business, but with a little experience, engaging, and making sure to stay on top of any issues that have arisen, I have developed a hosting product that does not break anyone’s wallets, nor offer eye candy type solutions.

In the near future, Host Solutions will go through another server upgrade to make sure your hosting experience is a little faster.

Please take a moment to sign up for the Host SolutionS affiliate program. There are several great packages for beginning sites and blogs to larger ones. Remember, Host Solutions welcomes WordPress users!!!

Good news for shared hostees – servers have been upgraded with more RAM. What does this mean? Well, you should have noticed a little better load time in the past 3 months and no downtimes at all.

Uptime is a huge thing for anyone with a website. Frankly, if my site is up… I am probably going to be on the issue immediately because I know you are down too. It is important as Host Solutions grows that you do not feel its growing pains.

However, with this news, I have made sure that the processes have been limited for shared accounts. Which means, if someone uses way too many data resources (example: like MySQL due to traffic or using a lot of scripts that call the database) everyone will no longer be affected.

It is important that you are aware of what you are using for your site. If you are not sure, ask. For those using WordPress, this can sometimes be a problem if you are are using a lot of plugins. If you go over your allotment of resources for the day, your site will be down. Usually dedicated and resellers do not have to worry as much.

Things that will help avoid this issue:
- Use scripts or plugins that are necessary
- De-activate plugins that you only use on occasion
- Make sure your scripts are up to date

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
