Q: How much uptime will I have?
A: We know about 99.9% which is pretty good. We will always try to inform you if your site may be down, not keep you in the dark. Please subscribe to our rss feeds for the most current news.

Q: Does your price include domain registration?
A: Yes, but it only pertains to .com, .net, .org, .biz , .info . Domains like .nu are not included, but we can register those for you. That is under our Other Services. The first year and all subsequent years are included in our package prices as long as you are hosted with us!

Q: Is my price subject to change?
A: No, but only if you need more bandwidth or more space.

Q: My hosting package and price changed on the site, does that mean my package changes too.
A: No. For Example: If you hosted with Host Solutions in 2006-2008 for the basic $20 Amethyst plan, you will receive the same package you paid for and renew for the same price. However, if you wish to have the most current package, then you will have to pay the difference to receive that package in order to update it.

Q: Can I upgrade my account and how can I do that?
A: Yes, we can upgrade your account. We would bill the difference and upgrade your account on our end.

Q: I want to resell. Can I?
A: Yes, we have reseller packages available to choose from, all include your own cPanel WHM reseller center!

Q: Is that price per year?
A: Yes, it is! However, we also offer convenient pay plans for our larger packages.

Q: Do you transfer domains?
A: Certainly, but you will need to back up your site first as we can register or renew your domain. If you plan to do a transfer, notify your current hosting company. When you have sent payment to Host Solutions, we will put a notice of transfer with our registrar and you will receive notice to confirm your approval for the transfer. When you do decide to transfer with us, make sure you inform your host and registrar of the move. If this is not done, they may take longer to accept our transfer notice. Transfers can take 5 to 7 days once confirmed. We offer services to back up and transfer your site too, if in the case you have no time or cannot do it yourself.

Q: How much is it to transfer?
A: Any Cpanel host will will transfer for free. Hosts that do not have Cpanel, we charge per data transfer involved. For data under 200 MB, we charge $30. 200 MB to 750, we charge $55. Anything over 750MB depends on the data. Transfer includes syncing your MySQL databases with your Cpanel’s phpmyadmin.

Q: I registered my own domain already, but want to host with you. Do I get a discount?
A: No, our price includes the ability to have a domain registered so it is like you turned down that service.

Q: I registered my own domain and got hosting with you. How do I get my server to work?
A: Log into your registrar and change the DNS nameservers to the ones we have sent you and you should be okay.

Q: How long after registration should my domain take to work?
A: About 24 to 72 hours for propogation.

Q: Are you a legitimate host?
A: We are a legitimate host and we hope that if you choose us that you see that too. We will always strive to be reliable and prompt in communicating.

Q: Do you have packages for design AND hosting together?
A: As of January 1, 2008, we are currently combining the services and will soon to debut those deals.

Q: Do you take anything other than Paypal?
A: As of January 1, 2008, we currently have 3 options: (a) Paypal (b) Western Union online (we understand some of our hostees will be from countries that is out of paypal’s currency reaches (c) Money order (you must use contact form if you want to pay by money order and we do not subtract or reimburse postal cost as our prices are rock bottom for affordability.)

Q: Do you offer a money back guarantee?
A: We offer a 30-day money back guarantee. However, that applies to the hosting. The domain registration ($11) is non-refundable. In the unfortunate instance that this may happen and we hope it does not, you may take the domain with you.

Q: Are there any long term contracts?
A: No, there are no requirements of contracts or commitments.

Q: Do you help me if I need technical support?
A: Of course we will if you sign up, we will be there to provide you with all the necessary support.

Q: I do not know anything about Red hat. Does it matter for hosting business?
A: No you do not need to know anything about Red hat to start your own Web hosting business with Host Solutions.

Q: I live in the UK, can I display my prices in UK pounds on my website if I am a reseller?
A: Yes, You can modify your site to show any currency you want.

Q: I was wondering if I want to accept credit cards on the hosting business would you let me?
A: You may accept payments through your site by Paypal. However, if you wish to have your own credit card processor, you are responsible for setting that up and maintaining it.

Q: Am I restricted to where I can sell this services?
A: You can sell services to anyone anywhere in the world.

Q: Can I have my own DNS (ns.yourdomainname.com)? Is there an extra charge for this?
A: Yes, you can have your own DNS for free.

Q: Is there a free trial?
A: No, there’s no free trial.

Q: Do you host any type of site? I have an adult website I want to start.
A: Host Solution allows adult sites. However, we do not allow sites that contain anything illegal like child pornography. Any site found will be reported and their account terminated.
